Job Summary and Responsibilities

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus offered for qualified new hires. Per policy, current employees are not eligible.

 

Under general supervision, performs a variety of fixed and portable radiographs according to department quality standards.  This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through rehabilitating newborn through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.  This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

 

Essential functions include but not limited to:

  • Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
  • Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
  • Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
  • Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.
  • Provides for the physical and psycho-social needs of the patient and family.
  • Incorporates functional/developmental age into care: newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.

Job Requirements

Education and experience:

  • High School Graduate/GED or equivalent
  • Graduate of a Radiology Program required. AA preferred.
  • Less than 2 years of Radiologic Technology experience

License and certifications:

  • CA Radiology Tech license
  • AHA Basic Life Support
  • Fluoroscopy within 90 days of hire
  • ARRT preferred
  • Expanded IV Therapy Course (EIV) preferred
