Job Summary and Responsibilities

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus offered for qualified new hires. Per policy, current employees are not eligible.

 

Administers radiation therapy treatments under the direction and approved treatment plans of a radiation therapy physician. Localizes patients on the simulator machine. Collects data needed by dosimetry for treatment planning. May perform dose calculations. This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through adolescents through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

  • Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained.
  • Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care.
  • Identifies self by name and title to patient/family.
  • Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive.
  • Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified.
  • Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee.

Job Requirements

Minimum:

  • CA Radiation Therapy license
  • ARRT in Radiation Therapy 
  • Current BLS Card
  • Simulation patient set-up and treatment with a good understanding of treatment planning

Preferred:

  • Minimum one (1) year experience preferred
