We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. With this role youāll be working as part of the South East Recovery Hub team, based in Gilmerton. The team supports people with their or their loved onesā drug and/or alcohol issues.

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per weekĀ
Contract Type:Ā Permanent
Ā
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About the role:Ā
Ā
- Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journeyĀ
- Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referralĀ
- Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider communityĀ
- Promoting carer, service user and community involvementĀ
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership servicesĀ
- Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determinationĀ
- Research, design and prepare subject matter and materials for groups / pods.Ā
- Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recoveryĀ
- Engage with debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators after groups/pods have taken place, reviewing progress and identifying concerns with service usersĀ
- Tailor specific workshops around the needs of the service users, such as: anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etcĀ

About you:Ā
Ā
- Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar fieldĀ
- Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.Ā
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skillsĀ
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skillsĀ
- Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practiceĀ
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholdersĀ
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service usersĀ
- Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguardsĀ
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of othersĀ
