About this role

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Director of Donor Recruitment, assist the department in achievement of whole blood and apheresis collection goals. The Flex Account Manager is accountable under manager supervision for the development, planning and promotion of donor recruitment activities within their assigned territory for the duration of their time in that territory. When not covering a territory, the Flex Account Manager will apply blood drive recruitment and promotion tactics to support collection efforts in coordination with the Donor Relations Associates.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Recruits new and past donors using varying recruitment and promotional tactics.
  • Schedules new blood drives with existing accounts.
  • Seeks and communicates new accounts to host blood drives.
  • Provides publicity and recruitment materials to blood drives.
  • Provides education and assistance to volunteer chairpersons organizing the blood drive.
  • Speaks to individuals and groups about the need for blood, the Community Blood Center, and about blood donations.
  • Works to maximize blood collections for the organization.
  • Assists Donor Recruitment and the organization in meeting blood collection goals.
  • Ability to travel 75% or more of the time.
  • Performs recruitment activities such as telemarketing, sign-up tables, on=site recruitment, and presentation to increase collections.
  • Performs data entry on busy or high profile blood drives as needed.
  • Supports donor and community outreach efforts by donor centers through in-office support of mass mailings and fulfillment.
  • Must be able to confidently communicate and interpret intermediate information in English to all member of the public and CBC staff.
  • Must have an maintain a valid operator's license and clean driving record. All tickets, suspension must be reported to supervisor.

  • Assists and supports team members.
  • Communicates with supervisors and other CBC staff.
  • Performs other duties assigned, appropriate to the role.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Education:

Associate's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field or equivalent work experience.

 

Experience:

Two years of experience in sales, marketing, and/or customer service experience preferred.

 

Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.

 

Licenses / Certifications:

 

Must have a valid driver's license

Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Data systems
  • Knowledge of Missouri and Kansas Driving Laws as applicable
