Wieland North America (WNA) is seeking an Accounting Intern. The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting team with daily operations in SAP, with a primary focus on Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) reconciliation and cleanup. This role is responsible for identifying and resolving discrepancies between purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices, while supporting month-end close activities and improving financial data accuracy.

This role is located at Wieland's North American Headquarters located in Louisville, KY and will be fully on-site.

Responsibilities

Accounting Intern Responsibilities:

• Analyze and reconcile GR/IR balances in SAP, focusing on aged and unmatched items.
• Investigate discrepancies between purchase orders, goods receipts, and vendor invoices.
• Collaborate with AP, Procurement, and Operations to resolve GR/IR issues.
• Support both pre-close and month-end close activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records by clearing open items and ensuring proper postings

Accounting Intern Qualifications:

• Active pursuit of Accounting, Finance, or related degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Pivot tables and advanced formulas in MS Excel.
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Must be a team player, willing to help others as needed
• Strong attention to detail
