Responsibilities

• Supervision of storeroom employees.
• Ensures safety of storeroom, storeroom personnel and assigned inspection areas by performing daily and weekly inspections.
• Monitors processes around the inventory management value stream including but not limited to material receipts, issues and cycle counting.
• Ensure on hand balances are accurate in order for maintenance jobs to be performed and to ensure inventory levels remain low.
• Performs buyer responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to reorder of inventory stock.
• Other duties as assigned by Purchasing Coordinator and/or Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required
• College Degree is preferred
• 3 - 5 years of experience with computerized maintenance management systems, including purchasing and inventory
• Principles of inventory management, material flow, and value stream management
• General knowledge of accounting as relates to inventory control
• High level of clerical work, must have attention to detail
• Mechanical aptitude
• Strong PC skills
• Previous supervision experience preferred
