Job Description

Provides leadership, supervision and technical knowledge to unit including workflow and administrative oversight, coaching, feedback, and functional support. Ensures the effective and efficient delivery of application processing, documentation and closing activities to meet the lease origination requirements of a specific leasing sales region. Responsible for post origination servicing activities related to life of lease maintenance, insurance, title, and other document filing and recording requirements. Responsible for task prioritization, team quality assurance, and on time lease origination delivery.

Essential Functions

  • Aligns Lease Operations team deliverables and goals with the objectives of the broader Department, Division and Enterprise strategy of CoBank and Farm Credit Leasing. Ensures partner processes and goals are understood and supported.
  • Establishes priorities to meet internal and external deadlines, supervises workflow and coordinates cross-functionally to appropriately balance workload between teams. .
  • Provides tactical guidance and functional support in transactions and daily work, and ensures that all compliance activities are consistent with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as CoBank policies and procedures. Serves as a point of escalation to resolve the most complex transactional issues.
  • Performs secondary review of finished work product, including reviewing legal documents for accuracy. Maintains own portfolio and provides back up support for other team members.
  • Monitors control reports and performs related research, root cause analysis, and resolution. Monitors reports for emerging trends, takes a proactive approach to mitigating risk. Prepares ad hoc reports. Escalates issues to management to and fosters an environment of transparency.
  • Works to minimize processing and servicing errors. Creates an environment where problems/errors are readily identified, appropriately communicated to stakeholders, promptly remediated and addressed at the root cause to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Escalates control failures and loss instances to management, performs root cause analysis and prepares memorandums that are fully transparent, identify root cause and clearly define a remediation plan. Ensures communications are delivered timely.
  • Consults with Human Resources as appropriate and takes disciplinary action when performance does not meet the performance targets.
  • Participates and/or leads project teams to meet project deliverables.
  • Coordinates with other managers, supervisors and staff in the division and in other areas of the organization on matters of mutual interest.
  • Coordinates interaction with auditors, Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, Capital Markets, external vendors and bank customers.
  • Identifies and documents key controls impacting financial reporting.
  • Assesses team training needs and coordinates training opportunities.
  • Participates in special projects, and performs other duties as assigned.
  • As a people manager at CoBank, you will be expected to manage and lead associates. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, associate performance management, talent strategy, workforce planning, change management, conflict resolution, and relationship management. You will drive and be accountable for the team’s development, alignment with the division’s objectives, as well as with CoBank’s strategy and mission.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Bachelor's degree may be substituted with four years of related experience (four years is in addition to what is minimally required for the role), or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Work Experience

  • 5 years of experience in leasing or financial services. required
  • 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in leasing or financial services. required

Physical Exertion Details

The typical base pay range for this role is between $90,900 - $111,800. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance. The listed salary, other compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
