Job Summary
EMCOR Government Services is seeking a talented Safety and Health Officer (SHO) for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Services for the Medical Treatment Facilities of 96th Medical Group at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
The SHO will be responsible for all O&M activities supported as part of this task order.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure work is completed in compliance with contract requirements, healthcare codes and regulations, budgets, and performance standards.
- Resolve conflicts, identified deficiencies, and issues following reporting and corrective action requirements.
- Maintain OSHA required program documentation and records for The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements, training, staff certifications and licenses, and permits.
- Conduct staff training, safety briefings, and safety inspections.
- Provide subcontractor safety orientation, accident investigations and necessary follow-up actions.
Qualifications
OSHA 30-hour training card (or course completion certificate if within 90 calendar days of having completed the training and card has not yet been issued).
• Resume or certificates demonstrating 24 hours of documented formal classroom or online Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) related training within the past 5 years
- Must maintain competency by taking 24 hours every 3 year period for the duration of the contract. Initial OSHA 30-hour training does not count towards the 24 hour competency training requirement.
• Resume demonstrating 5 years of cumulative safety experience, within the last 10 years in managing or implementing an SOH program on projects that are multi -facility O&M Services for Federal Government and U.S. Military Installation hospitals/healthcare centers totaling 600,000+ square feet.
- Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety program requirements
