Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Learn and conform to the shop safety rules.
  • Learn about all fire protection sprinkler materials and tools.
  • Interact with the shop personnel for delivery and material needs.
  • Assist the sprinkler fitters with material pick-ups.
  • Bring prints, small materials, and/or information to the drivers’ area located in the back of the shop.
  • Interface with dispatch on a daily basis.
  • Update daily, weekly and monthly reporting for corporate submission for both field and fab operations.
  • Manage Lift Rental/Deliveries/Pick-ups.
  • Learn about the material moving equipment and the various lifts used by the Company and how to properly request it.
  • Fabrication inventory control/management/procurement/reporting.
  • Enter and update FMS (fuel management) and reporting as needed.
  • Order/schedule equipment as needed.
  • Track equipment from beginning to end.
  • Follow-up after testing to get the completed paperwork back to the office.
  • Type meeting notes and correspondence as needed.
  • Learn to send out field employee new hire paperwork, work with HR with new hires, collect fitter work hours, expense reports, and create and update various spreadsheets for when National Field Coordinator is unavailable.

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 3+ years of administrative experience is required.
  • Previous construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, and particularly Excel) is required.
  • Knowledge of general office machines and telephone systems is required.
  • Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.
  • Building positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management is required.
  • Demonstrating integrity and professionalism is required.
  • Demonstrating commitment to company values is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to follow-up on tasks and assignments in a timely manner is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk, walk, reach with hands and arms, and hear. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The strength rating for this position is classified as sedentary work which entails exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to life, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. This position occasionally requires protective eye equipment. Operation of a computer, telephone, headphone, mailroom cart, and copiers/fax machine is required. Understanding simple memos, and business letters is required. Writing simple memos, reports and summaries is required.
