Overview

Responsible for recruiting Team Members for GGW’s positions as directed and supporting the New Hire Orientation process. This position is responsible and will be held accountable forbehaving in accordance with divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Identify qualified candidates for open positions by reviewingapplications/resumes and use independent judgment to determine what candidatesshould be selected to proceed in the process.2. On own initiative conduct initial phone interviews for hourly associates and useindependent judgement make recommendations to hiring managers to select forin-person interviews.3. Schedule, coordinate, and track in-person interviews4. Initiate background checks, drug screenings, and conduct reference checks.5. Open, track, and close positions in the applicant tracking system.6. Counsel and train hiring managers on the use of the applicant tracking system.

7. On own initiative, maintain a pool of viable and available candidates to fillpositions by using independent judgement to conduct outreach through variousrecruitment methods such as web-based tools, community partners, job fairs andin-store hiring events, and networking events.8. Meet with hiring managers regularly to discuss the status of candidates, gaininsights on new/replacement positions and departmental changes that are comingdown the pike, and establish/tweak the recruitment strategy when necessary.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:1. Ability to respond to and follow up on questions from managers and candidates.2. Provides reports on recruiting metrics to the Director of Talent Acquisition andhiring managers as needed.3. Serve as a backup, when needed, for conducting New Hire Orientation and othertraining initiatives.4. Perform other duties as directed by management.5. *This position sometimes requires travel to and from off-site retail locationsthroughout MD, DC and VA

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:1. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.2. Two years of recruitment and significant administrative experience.3. Ability to manage multiple requisitions concurrently.4. Demonstrated knowledge of online recruiting systems and resources to includeuse of digital and social media resources.5. Excellent customer service.6. Strong written and oral communication skills.7. Strong interpersonal skills.

8. Attention to detail, strong organization and time management skills.9. Proven ability to build positive relationships and work collaboration across theorganization.10. Adhere to work schedule as dictated by business needs and priorities.

 

Preferred Qualifications:1. Experience with various Applicant Tracking System; Dayforce a plus.2. Bilingual (Spanish/English) writing and speaking skills3. Previous recruiting experience with a specialty in either retail or other entry levelpositions.
