Position Overview

FH Furr is seeking an Electrical Permit Coordinator to support the team during a planned medical leave. 

This role is responsible for managing electrical permits and coordinating inspections across multiple branches.The ideal candidate may be a seasoned electrician or electrical professional looking to transition from fieldwork into a coordination-based role.

There may be potential for this position to transition into a longer-term opportunity depending on business needs and individual performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply for all electrical permits across multiple FH Furr branches
• Schedule and coordinate electrical inspections with local jurisdictions
• Apply for generator permits and coordinate associated inspections
• Serve as a liaison between inspectors, municipalities, and internal teams
• Meet inspectors on-site when required to facilitate inspections and approvals
• Track permit status and maintain organized, accurate documentation
• Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and permitting requirements
• Communicate timelines, updates, and any issues to internal stakeholders
• Provide administrative and coordination support for electrical operations

Qualifications

• Electrical industry experience preferred (licensed or previously licensed electrician strongly encouraged)
• Familiarity with electrical permitting processes, codes, and inspections
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Effective communication skills when working with inspectors and internal teams
• Comfortable working in both office and occasional field environments

• Schedule: Full-time; schedule may vary depending on inspection needs
• Location: Based out of FH Furr service areas, with some on-site coordination required
• Potential: Opportunity for extension or permanent placement may be considered
