Rust Engineer

We’re looking for a Rust Engineer to build high-quality systems software in an environment where Linux, Tokio, and asynchronous programming are core to the work. This is not a role for someone who has only dabbled in Rust. It’s for an engineer who enjoys going deep, solving hard problems, and writing production-grade code that matters.

Job Description

At DDN, you’ll work on technology where efficiency, concurrency, and strong engineering fundamentals are essential. You’ll have the chance to contribute to meaningful technical challenges, collaborate with serious engineers, and build software with real impact.

You’ll be a strong fit if you have:

• Solid hands-on experience with Rust
• Strong working knowledge of Linux
• Practical experience with Tokio
• Strong understanding of async/concurrent programming
• Around 4 to 20 years of overall software engineering experience

It’s a bonus if you also bring:

• C or C++ experience
• A background in systems, backend, infrastructure, or performance-sensitive engineering

This role is for engineers who want to stay close to the code, take ownership, and build robust systems the right way.

It’s probably not the right fit if:

• Your Rust experience is mostly academic, experimental, or side-project based
• You prefer purely front-end or low-complexity application work
• You’re looking for a people-management role rather than a hands-on engineering role
