Overview

​​​​​​Graham Packaging is seeking a sourcing manager responsible for leading the strategic sourcing efforts for procurement, and performance management of contractors providing mechanical, electrical, equipment relocation, rigging, installation, maintenance, and related industrial services. In addition to the contractor services the sourcing manager would also be responsible for new capital projects for equipment, tooling and associated services. The sourcing manager engages with stakeholders to understand business requirements, identifies current or potential sources of supply, requests RF(x), evaluates supplier RF(x) submissions against established budgets and/or target costs for final award. The sourcing manager will optimize the supplier base with a concentration on developing global and regional suppliers designed to achieve organizational objectives including costs, quality, sustainability and delivery. This major objective for this role would be to ensure all Capex is procured with highest quality and lowest cost.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy to meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements
  • Ensure supplier development efforts are aligned with the sourcing strategy, including the deployment of Supplier Quality Assurance, Supplier Development and Engineering resources
  • Develop and execute supplier specific strategies (grow/develop, maintain, exit)
  • Manages all equipment/tooling purchases; process air and water, palletizers, conveyors, automation, material handling etc.
  • Execute supplier contracts including accountability and skin in the game, working closely with buyers, plants and functions and ensuring all aspects of life cycle and service levels are considered
  • Assist suppliers, accounts payable, requisitioners and other stakeholders with purchase orders, invoice and payment issues as and when required
  • Manage and review price catalogs in ARIBA
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders on necessary actions required for any issues with purchasing process
  • Ensure all statutory, regulatory and internal controls requirements are followed and met in the purchasing process
  • Collaborate with project management team to manage supplier exepectations including deliveries and performance.
  • Develop, implement, and manage vendor performance metrics, documents, and reporting as part of a Supplier Relationship Management plan within a specified category.
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Continuously optimize category through spend reduction and/or value enhancement, risk mitigation, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Conduct market and risk analysis to drive category strategies.

Qualifications

 Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Project Management or Engineering in a manufacturing company
  • Knowledge in plastic molding or similar material conversion processes is preferred
  • Proven experience in supplier negotiations including preparing and administering Long Term Agreements
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate concisely at all levels inside and outside the company
  • Strong ability to lead, communicate and act in a multicultural and cross-functional environment
  • Action oriented with proven track record of achieving business goals

The standard compensation for this role is $95,400 - 143,100. Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors.

Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
