Overview
The East West Bank Advisory team is seeking to hire an undergraduate or graduate interested in a career in mergers & acquisitions. The role is offered for an initial 6 month period with the possibility of extension and conversion to a full time role. The position is based in Hong Kong.
The EWB Advisory team is led by two seasoned bankers who have built their careers in cross border M&A in bulge-bracket financial institutions. In this team, it is expected that junior bankers develop strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills while working closely with senior colleagues and peers.
Responsibilities
This role is expected to provide hands-on experience across all stages of advisory transactions, including market research, pitch preparation, and transaction execution. More specifically, the successful candidate is expected to gain exposure to key financial analyses, such as valuation analysis (using discounted cashflow, comparable companies trading, precedent transaction analysis, leveraged buyout techniques) and proforma business combination work. Further transaction execution experience is likely to include exposure to preparation of teaser, information memoranda, management presentations, along with review of aspects of definitive transaction documents.

Qualifications
- Candidates should be in their final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate program, or have recently graduated from such a program
- Be eligible to work in Hong Kong
- Minimum 3.5 GPA
- Detail oriented and intellectually curious
- Highly motivated and strong work ethic
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking abilities
- Strong interest in current affairs, business and finance
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Possess fluent English and fluent Mandarin language skills, in both written and spoken forms
