Part Time Furnace Operator

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Part Time Furnace Operator is responsible for setting recipes and managing the heat treat process for furnace operations.  Limited heavy lifting may be required, up to 30 lbs. and motion is repetitive.   

Hours available for this position are any hours, any days, from Friday 2 pm through Sunday 1 pm.  A minimum of 12 hours per week is required.  In addition, full benefits are offered at 25 or more hours per week. We operate 24/7 and can offer a great deal of flexibility.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

• Basic math comprehension skills.
• Excellent attendance history.
• A solid work history, meaning, candidates with a couple of months at each job, will not be considered.
• A high school education or equivalent.
• Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting, repetitive motion bending and stretching, and standing for the duration of the shift.

Dowa offers a competitive starting rate from $20.00/hr and up (depending upon experience),  with a $1.25 pay differential for all  hours between 5 pm and 5 am.  A benefits package with a zero deductible health care plan, dental, vision, short and long term disability, 401(k), is available at 25 hours per week.  All hires must successfully complete a comprehensive background check, including criminal and a 9 panel drug screen.  Applications and/or resumes must include current employment.
