Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’s (DHMC) Radiology-Diagnostic department at our Lebanon, NH campus has openings for Radiologic Technologists/X-Ray Techs.

Radiologic Technologists/Medical Imagers at DHMC perform a wide range of advanced imaging procedures, combining strong technical expertise with the ability to navigate complex requests from specialized clinics. Our team works across diverse settings—including Outpatient services, Portables, the Emergency Department, Operating Room, Fluoroscopy, and Neuroradiology—offering variety and the opportunity to build a well-rounded skill set. They perform diagnostic radiologic exams and procedures independently and may supervise new hires and student technologists from area colleges.

For our full-time positions (30+ hours), we are offering a $20,000 sign-on/retention bonus. *The bonus is for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.
Responsibilities
- Selects proper exposure technique and follows protocol throughout exam
- Reviews study for overall quality, illuminates any problems that were not part of the initial exam, and alerts the radiologist to further imaging instructions.
Upon completion of orientation, the Radiologic Technologist/Medical Imager is responsible for the following:
- MSK, Neuro procedures, GI/GU
- all intensive care units as well as PICU/ICN,
- both main campus and OSC
- Must maintain proficiency in all Code designations and appropriate responses
Qualifications
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved allied health program specific to the modality employed.
- Must be able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be proficient in the use of Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Transport, and/or other computer systems unique to the specific imaging section.
- Must be able and willing to work: on-call, weekends, holidays and variable shifts.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Professional registry for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for modality employed is required when mandated by Federal or section certifications or registry eligible.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at the time of hire.
- Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
