About this role
Overview
The EEG Technologist performs standard and specialized Electroencephalograph (EEG) recordings in all inpatient and outpatient care areas of the medical center and long-term video monitoring for epilepsy. If not already trained to perform evoked potential testing in the EEG Laboratory, the successful candidate will receive the required additional training.
This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week night shift position working 3 12-hour shifts, Monday through Wednesday from 7:00 pm - 7:30 am. The night shift receives a 20% shift differential.

Qualifications
- Enrollment in or completion of an Associate’s Degree program OR completion of a CoA-NDT-accredited certification program required
- College-level courses in anatomy and physiology, basic electronics, and medical terminology preferred.
- Knowledge of video EEG monitoring is desirable.
- Maturity and ability to establish good rapport with patients, public, and staff.
- Capacity to deal with severely ill patients.
- Attend specific courses and seminars on electroneurodiagnostic testing, with special emphasis on EEG for continued education.
- Take and pass the ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroencephalography & Evoked Potential Technologists) EEG certification exam once eligible.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- BLS Certification
- End of year one in role, the EEG Technologist is to have an outlined plan for taking the ABRET EEG certification Exam.
- Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians
