The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Network Engineer at our Dallas, TX office.

 

The Sr. Network Engineer is a senior professional responsible for focusing on designing, implementing, and managing network solutions for on-premise and within cloud environments. Responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of cloud-based networks, as well as integrating these solutions with existing on-premise systems with a heavy emphasis on Zero Trust. Works closely with various cross-functional teams to support cloud infrastructure, automate network tasks, and optimize resources for cost-effectiveness while maintaining high availability and disaster recovery protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and maintenance of secure, scalable network architectures across cloud environments.
  • Drives the design of advanced cloud network strategies for enterprise-level applications and services.
  • Architects and manages hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises systems with cloud infrastructures.
  • Oversees the implementation of security best practices, including advanced firewall configurations and Zero Trust frameworks.
  • Continuously monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes cloud network performance for maximum uptime and efficiency.
  • Spearheads the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate network resource management and scaling.
  • Provides strategic oversight for analyzing and optimizing cloud network resources to reduce operational costs.
  • Designs and maintains disaster recovery solutions to ensure the continuity of critical business functions during network failures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope and responsibility of the job level and family.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years minimum prior relevant experience
