Senior Software Architect 

Location: Kolkata / Hyderabad, India Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office 

About the Role 

As a Senior Software Architect, you will lead the design of a cloud-native, LLM-powered web application that transforms unstructured documents into structured data. You will work closely with product owners and development teams to ensure architectural decisions align with product and business priorities, communicating complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders and enabling effective decision-making. 

You bring broad and deep software engineering experience, built in product-based companies. You have strong architectural and modelling skills, and the ability to make timely design decisions and influence teams across multiple technology stacks. You demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and sound judgment, with a strong commitment to learning, mentoring others, and continuously improving architectural quality. 

You will be part of a diverse, globally distributed team spanning Europe, India, and the US, bringing broad and deep engineering experience, strong modelling skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and mentorship. 

Your Role Responsibilities – Here's What You'll Do 

• Lead the design and architecture of a cloud-native, LLM-powered web application, ensuring alignment with product priorities and business outcomes across a globally distributed team 

• Collaborate closely with product owners and development teams to translate business goals and functional requirements into innovative, scalable architectural solutions 

• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders, enabling alignment and sound decision-making across cross-functional teams 

• Make timely and well-reasoned design decisions across multiple technology stacks, balancing architectural quality, scalability, security, and business needs 

• Develop and maintain advanced software models covering information, domain, process, state, security, logical, and physical architectural views 

• Mentor and coach team members on architectural principles and engineering best practices; drive continuous improvement of team capabilities and overall architectural quality 

Role Essentials – What You'll Need 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of professional software engineering experience across multiple technical and commercial environments 

• Advanced working experience with software design patterns, architecture patterns, and quality attributes 

• Advanced software modelling skills covering information, domain, process, state, security, logical, and physical architectural views 

• Direct development experience across two or more technology stacks (e.g., Angular, TypeScript, C#) 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to persuade and influence stakeholders across cross-functional roles 

What We'd Like to See – Preferred Skills 

• Experience designing cloud-native applications and working with LLM-powered or AI-driven solutions 

• Experience with Azure 

• Strong knowledge of modern software development lifecycle processes from product conception through deployment 

• Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members on architectural and engineering best practices 

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the courage to take ownership and make timely decisions in ambiguous situations 

• Experience working effectively with globally distributed teams and external partners or customers
