Lattice Semiconductor is seeking Engineer-2 role for the Firmware team focused on architecting solutions for Edge AI. The selected candidate will be involved in designing and optimizing firmware that powers our next-generation products. This position is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team with ample opportunity to contribute, learn, innovate, and grow. It will also provide an opportunity to contribute to software development activities.

Roles/Responsibility specifics:

• This position is in Pune, India.
• The candidate will be involved in assisting with the design, development, and testing of firmware for embedded systems.
• The candidate will work on optimizing performance, reliability and resource utilization of the embedded systems.
• The candidate will have to collaborate with the hardware and software teams to integrate debug and release firmware.
• The candidate will actively participate in Code Reviews to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams that are spread globally.
• Document firmware design and development processes implemented by the candidate.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++.
• Experience with RTOS, RT-Linux or Bare-metal coding.
• Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Python programming
• Experience with ARM architectures, FPGA, microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe.
• Knowledge of digital design, CMOS technology, basic electronics
