Maintenance Assistant

Overview

Are you an experienced Maintenance Assistant looking to work for an amazing organization by serving others and connecting with your co-workers?

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to work at The Landing located at 3500 Faulkner Drive, Lincoln, NE 68516. The Landing has 90 independent living, 34 assisted living and 14 memory support apartment homes.  

This part time 20 hour per week Day schedule is made up of eight-hour and four-hour shifts.

Eight-hour shifts: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Four-hour shifts: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

This shift consists of TWO full eight hour days and one four half day (flexible on shift days Monday through Friday; however, one of the eight hour days is every Friday)

Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

Job Duties & Skills Required

What You Will Do

Ensures building and equipment are in working order by performing preventative maintenance and repairing damage.

Completes work orders in a timely fashion.

Conducts general carpenter work using common hand and power tools.

Diagnoses mechanical problems.

Assembles structures such as furniture or pipe systems.

Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts.

Cleans and lubricates equipment.

Paints and patches walls, equipment, and structures.

Assembles, installs, and repairs electrical wiring.

Skills & Requirements

High School Diploma/GED is required.

Trade or Vocational Schooling is preferred

Equivalent years of work may substitute for education requirement.

One (1) year of facilities maintenance or related experience is required.

Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.
