Shawnee Mission Kia is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Business Development Center (BDC) Representative to join our growing dealership team. This role is critical in driving sales by handling inbound and outbound customer communications, setting appointments, and delivering a top-tier customer experience The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a dealership BDC environment or a high-volume, competitive phone-based appointment setting role. This position requires strong communication skills, persistence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales setting.
Responsibilities
- Handle all incoming internet, phone, and text inquiries promptly and professionally
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls to generate and confirm sales and service appointments
- Effectively communicate with prospective customers to understand needs and guide them toward scheduling dealership visits
- Follow up consistently with leads using CRM tools, email, phone, and text
- Confirm appointments and ensure customers show for scheduled visits (“show rate focus”)
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions in the CRM system
- Work closely with the sales and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Meet or exceed monthly appointment-setting and show-rate goals
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude while working in a competitive, performance-driven environment
Qualifications
- Required: Previous BDC experience in an automotive dealership OR proven success in a high-volume appointment setting or inside sales role
- Strong phone presence and excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated in a competitive environment
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using CRM systems, email, and texting platforms
- Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of leads
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
- Availability to work Saturdays (mandatory) with a weekday off

- The total compensation range for this role is $50,000–$60,000, including base salary and performance-based bonus potential. Actual earnings will vary based on individual performance.
