The Lube Technician is an entry‑level automotive service role responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance and inspections while delivering safe, efficient, and high‑quality service. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer vehicles are properly maintained and in identifying potential maintenance needs. We are hiring for South Pointe Honda, South Pointe Chevrolet, South Pointe CJD and BMW of Tulsa
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn. This role offers hands‑on experience in an automotive service environment with opportunities for training, skill development, and advancement within the shop.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance (oil change, tire rotations, various fluid flushes)
- Perform a vehicle multi-point inspection to ensure the proper operation of a vehicle and the safety of the customer (Check fluids, filters, battery test, tires, suspension components, and the overall integrity of the vehicle)
- Perform a video multi-point inspection
- Fill out a vehicle multi-point inspection form, that includes multi-media attachments
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ensure proper handling of a customer's vehicle
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment
- Ensure the company’s core values are met with fellow employees and customers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver license.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems (engine, brakes, tires, fluids)
- Ability to perform routine maintenance services, including:
- Oil and filter changes
- Tire rotation and pressure checks
- Fluid checks and top‑offs (transmission, coolant, brake, power steering)
- Battery testing and replacement
- Visual inspections of belts, hoses, and filters
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Ability to follow manufacturer and shop service procedures
In addition to competitive compensation, we offer:
- Hourly Pay Range: $16.00–$17.00 per hour
- Pay Type: Non‑exempt, hourly position
- Compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications
- Overtime: Paid in accordance with federal and state law for hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
