Overview

Group 1 Ford of Southwest Houston is growing and looking to add Automotive Technicians of all skill levels—from entry-level to experienced and master-certified—to our team! Whether you’re just starting your career or bring advanced diagnostic expertise, we offer an environment that supports continuous learning, strong performance, and career advancement.

*Candidates without hands-on automotive experience must be currently enrolled in or have completed an automotive technician training program to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors

Qualifications

• Prior automotive experience or completion of a technical training program required (dealership experience preferred)
• Ford/Lincoln manufacturer certifications or ASE certifications are a big plus!
• A positive & friendly attitude
• Tools based on our experience
• Communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Strong desire to provide an exceptional client experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver’s license
