Responsibilities & Requirements
Assist the Community Outreach department with organizing, implementing and maintaining Wellness Activities. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Reports to and can be delegated other duties by the Clinical coordinator.
The Clinical Dietitian:
Regularly participates in and promotes wellness programs.
• Participates in public presentations, and cooking demonstrations with a concentration on health promotion, disease prevention, screenings and lifestyle modification.
• Regularly enhances knowledge base by staying current in health information, disease prevention by nationally recognized health organizations.
• Acts as a liaison at events and will promote and use service lines in development of programs specifically designed to meet the needs of the community.
• Refers clients to appropriate KHN physicians or other services.
• Tracks and measures outcomes as mandated.
• Transports work related materials in employee’s personal vehicle, to, on and offsite locations as needed.
• Requires the ability to lift 30 -50 pounds as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor or master’s degree from Didactic Program in Dietetics, Nutrition or related field. Dietetic Internship or Pre-professional Practice Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation/Approval for Dietetics Education of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.Experience in Health care setting and planning Health promotion programs preferred.Required Licenses[Ohio, United States] Dietitian and NutritionistRegistered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) or Registry Eligible with successful registration within 6 months of employment. Ohio Licensure as Dietitian/ Nutritionist (prior to first day of employment)Excellent organization, presentation and communication skills required. Ability to work varied hours with some evenings and Weekends. Highly motivated and able to work independently. Computer skills-Microsoft office. Excellent customer service skills and able to function in a team-orientated environment.
