About this role

What's the role?

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Product Manager to lead a portfolio of Traffic data and services, as well as Road Alerts products, serving both Automotive and Multi-Industry markets. This role requires a visionary professional who can drive product strategy, foster (sustaining) product innovation, deliver highly competitive and differentiating product, focus on internal as well as customer-facing quality KPIs, and achieve cost targets.

The role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Automotive and Multi-Industry go-to-market teams, development, data operations, and customer support, to ensure the successful delivery and growth of our product offerings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Product Strategy and Integrated Road Map

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and market needs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, data and services integrated product road map, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer demands.
  • Prioritize product features, enhancements, and improvements based on market input, research, customer feedback, and business priorities.

New Product Development

  • Lead the ideation, validation, and development of new product concepts from inception to production release.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for (sustaining) innovation and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market, development and design teams to create customer-/user-centric products that meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.

Quality KPIs and Cost Control

  • Relentless focus on product quality, making internal as well as customer-facing quality KPIs (such as defect density, first-pass yield, mean time to resolution, customer complains per feature, …) a central aspect of everyone’s role in delivering long-term product success.
  • Set and achieve cost targets for the product portfolio.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize product quality and cost.
  • Work closely with development and data sourcing teams to develop effective integrated product road maps and quality KPIs.
  • Work closely with go-to-market teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies and licensing models.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and partners.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, proposition, and performance to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure that all teams are aligned and working towards common goals.

Customer Focus

  • Champion the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring that customer needs and feedback are incorporated into product decisions.
  • Conduct regular customer interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights and improve product offerings.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty by delivering products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Product, Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role, ideally in Traffic and / or Road Alerts.
  • You care deeply about your customers, their problems and work tirelessly to innovate on their behalf.
  • Experience in working with traffic products in Automotive and in Multi-Industry markets. Included in this are companies that provide the following capabilities: (EV) Routing and Vehicle Navigation Services, Automotive L2/L2+ Navigation, Fleet Logistics, Last Mile and Middle mile, Transportation, and Traffic Management.
  • Experience in creating products and solutions that improve operational efficiency of vehicles and fleets and improve ETA predictions. Has product and industry knowledge about capabilities and applications of Traffic services.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
  • Experience in agile product development methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
