Engineering Manager - Agentic AI Framework

What's the role?

We are looking for an experienced and outcome-driven Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for the development and evolution of HERE’s framework for delivering customer-facing Agentic AI solutions. This role operates at the intersection of platform engineering and product delivery, enabling the consistent development of end-to-end agentic systems that integrate HERE location intelligence, Agentic AI capabilities, and customer-specific workflows. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a cross-functional engineering team focused on building and evolving the HERE Agentic AI framework 
• Establish clear ownership, responsibilities, and delivery accountability 
• Own delivery of core framework components enabling agent-based solutions 
• Partner with Product, Platform & Technology, Compute Foundation, Quality, and Trust organizations 
• Ensure high engineering quality and continuous improvement 
• Represent the team in leadership forums 

Who are you?

Required Qualifications: 

• Strong leadership and people management experience in software engineering 
• Proven ability to deliver complex distributed systems 
• Familiarity with agent-based architectures and orchestration patterns 
• Solid understanding of modern software system design 
• Experience with AI/ML-driven systems in production 
• Experience working in agile environments 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management 
• Mandatory hands-on experience using AI tools in day-to-day engineering activities to increase productivity and effectiveness 
• Ability to embed AI-assisted workflows into team practices 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building customer-facing platforms or frameworks 
• Exposure to location-based services or navigation domains
