About this role

Overview

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm with offices in all 50 States, has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal in its Hartford, CT office. The ideal candidate must have 3+ years of experience working as a litigation-focused paralegal.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in litigation support and case management.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience drafting and organizing discovery – both written discovery and document production.
  • Experience preparing for and assisting at trial.
  • Familiarity with Connecticut State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedures; knowledge of Massachusetts Rules is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and technical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate professionally, productively, and efficiently with clients, contacts, attorneys, other paralegals, and all other professional staff.
  • Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, reviewing medical records and preparing medical chronologies, and supporting preparations for hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery.
  • Research, organize, and summarize records as needed to assist in data gathering, including organizing information and documents in databases.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, and live trial support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
