Scientist（Molecular Biology / Biochemistry）

Overview

Kemin is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our Shanghai R&D team. This role focuses on molecular biology research and collection of regulatory dossiers,a and strain development to support the global launch and innovation in enzyme platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in gene cloning and a solid foundation in biochemical and molecular techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compile technical dossiers to support product registration in the EU and other international markets • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including fermentation, process development, regulatory, and quality • Analyze and interpret experimental data, and communicate results clearly through reports and presentations • Design and execute molecular biology experiments, including gene cloning, vector construction, and strain development • Develop and optimize recombinant expression systems • Conduct laboratory research with a focus on enzyme production and microbial platforms • Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in gene cloning and molecular biology techniques • Hands-on experience with filamentous fungi is highly preferred; candidates with demonstrated expertise in fungal systems are strongly encouraged to apply• Strong experimental design and problem-solving skills • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects ________________________________________Preferred Qualifications• Extensive hands-on experience working with filamentous fungi (e.g., Trichoderma, Aspergillus) is a strong plus• Knowledge in production registration. • Knowledge of fermentation processes and scale-up. • Familiarity with product safety assessment and toxicity evaluation • Experience in industrial biotechnology or enzyme development
