The VP IT Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for the reliability, resilience, and operational excellence of all technology platforms. Responsible for Logix Federal Credit Union’s architecture, design and operations strategy for the enterprise network, technical support, and core banking. In-depth knowledge of cloud, computer, storage, operating systems, application connectivity, and communications technology. Directs the Network Management team, Technical Support team and Core Operations to architect, design, deploy, and operate Logix systems to ensure near-100% uptime, supporting member, employees, and business operations without disruption.  the best possible service for LFCU employees and members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mission, vision, strategy, and operations to maximize the success of the Credit Union and Information Technology.

• Introduces innovative, differentiating infrastructure and operations capabilities that enhance our overall competitive capabilities and enhance employee productivity, inclusive of on premise and cloud operations, disaster recovery and business continuity.

• Ensures high availability, performance, and scalability of all production environments, managing to SLAs, OLAs and uptime metrics for all critical systems.

• Works with the IT senior leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources, including budget. Works with key stakeholders to measure and prioritize technical debt remediation

• Ensure that the network architecture and function provide the capabilities needed to meet identified business needs; drives continuous improvement in service delivery, automation, and operational maturity in networking environment, including hosting, cloud, telecommunications, and data center technologies.

• Partners with Information Security to ensure infrastructure is secure, patched, and resilient against threats.

• Directs database administration, including analysis and implementation of solutions for IT initiatives and vendor-provided systems.

• Directs core banking operations, including application maintenance, support, batch processing, interfaces with 3rd parties, and disaster recovery efforts.

• Ensures compliance with NCUA and other applicable rules and regulations in the performance of duties by assigned personnel including robust Identity and Access Management.

• Directs the engineering and operational support of enterprise network, and other assigned systems, and I.T. support teams with the primary goals of speed, reliability, and data security.

• Responsible for strategic planning, technology advancements, capacity management, availability, security, interoperability and operational lifecycle implementation; understands macro and micro market trends and competitive threats to drive network strategies.

• Develops operational service metrics from an internal customer perspective, and with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality.

• Provides network design, security analysis/design, implementation and documented ongoing testing; ensure up-to-date system and network documentation, policies, procedures, and inventories.

• Ensures key technology management processes are effectively managed including change management, planning, governance and architecture.

• Accountable for maintaining cost, usage metering, and uptime/availability of network and core services.

• Direct and respond to infrastructure and application outages, including technical troubleshooting and incident management.

• Manages the development of appropriate documentation of systems and technology supported by the Network Management and Technical Support teams inclusive of robust design documents, runbooks and monitoring frameworks.

• Creates and aligns an I&O value map by linking targeted business outcomes with the future-state business capabilities required to achieve them

• Develops annual objectives and budgets and leads the department to accomplish approved objectives within the approved budgets.

• Recruits, leads, and develops staff to fulfill the department’s objectives.

• Holds staff meetings with assigned personnel to discuss areas needing improvement, member/staff survey results and corrective action, changes in policies and procedures, new developments or services and to present general information.

• Resolves employee relations issues, coordinates and oversees cross-training, conducts performance evaluations periodically, and motivates and encourages the "team effort" of assigned personnel. Ensures that assigned staff are properly trained and follow guidelines.

• Fosters an atmosphere of cooperation and collaboration among department staff and with other departments.

• Manages relationships with vendors to ensure maximum benefit for the credit union, its members and to achieve departmental goals.

• Performs Business Resumption planning for assigned departments and validates the adequacy of the plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum4 Year / Bachelors DegreeMust have a Bachelor's degree in business information technology

  PreferredGraduate DegreeMasters’ Degree in Business or Technology and experience in a financial institution preferred

• 10 or more years in IT operations and infrastructure leadership, preferably in financial services or other directly related technical managerial experience 

• Must have a proven track record successfully managing network infrastructure and enterprise applications.

• Must have a proficiency with VMware, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, VoIP technology, Citrix, and MS Office products such as Windows, SQL, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

• Proven ability to operate mission-critical systems at an enterprise scale
