Overview
Nelson Mullins, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Legal Recruiting and Development Coordinator to join our team. This role will focus on recruiting lateral associates and contract attorneys for our West Coast offices and will play a key part in attracting top legal talent to support our continued growth.
A Day in the Life
In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of lateral associate and contract attorney recruiting while serving as a key point of contact for candidates, attorneys, and external partners. You will be responsible for drafting job postings, tracking open positions, screening resumes, and conducting phone interviews as needed. You will coordinate the full interview process and ensure the timely completion of all pre-hire due diligence, including new attorney questionnaires, client list reviews, verification of bar standing, reference checks, and background screenings. This role also supports the offer process and maintains accurate candidate tracking and correspondence to ensure a seamless experience. In addition, you will oversee the contract attorney process, including onboarding, timesheet management, invoicing, and partnering with external staffing agencies, while building and maintaining strong pipelines of legal talent to meet ongoing hiring needs.We Know You

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of legal recruiting, law firm recruiting, or attorney staffing experience
- Experience building and maintaining talent pipelines and partnering with search firms or staffing agencies
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (such as iCIMS) and Microsoft Office
At Nelson Mullins, we are dedicated to transparent and fair compensation practices. Pay for this position is determined by factors such as experience, skills, and location.
- Salary/ Wage Range - $75,000 - $90,000 annually. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for merit-based raises and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans and paid time off.
