Currently, we are bidding for Metro Rail projects across India. The position of Chief Resident Engineer (Underground) is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• Lead and supervise all underground construction activities—including tunnels, underground stations, shafts, and cross passages—to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with design specifications.
• Coordinate daily with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical issues, facilitate smooth site operations, and manage interfaces with other disciplines.
• Review and approve construction methods, technical submittals, and quality documentation; ensure adherence to project standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor construction progress, maintain site records, and report regularly to senior management and the client on schedule, cost, risks, and quality.
• Enforce strict health and safety protocols by conducting site safety audits, investigations, and ensuring best practices in underground construction.
• Support commissioning and handover by overseeing testing, punch listing, and confirming the completion of works to required standards prior to client acceptance.

Profile/Skills

• Engineering Graduate in Civil
• 20+ years in rail related major infrastructure project/railway/ metro and execution of UG tunneling and UG station works in at least two metro projects.
