About this role

Overview

We’re looking for an Agile Delivery Lead to own the operational backbone of LIGER, an enterprise AI platform that connects knowledge, systems, and agentic workflows to accelerate outcomes across federal missions. You’ll be the person who keeps the engineering team focused, measured, and unblocked – not through ceremony, but through clean data, smart tooling, and disciplined execution.

Our engineering team runs on a Kanban-based delivery model with structured weekly syncs, quarterly goal-setting, and capacity-based measurement. This role owns that system end-to-end. You won’t be running sprints – you’ll be maintaining the dashboards, enforcing data hygiene, generating the reports, and facilitating the rituals that keep the team aligned and moving. If you’re someone who gets energy from building operational systems that a team actually relies on – not just process for process’s sake – keep reading.

About This Team

LIGER sits within LMI’s Chief Technology Office. We’re a small, high-visibility team building AI tools for federal agencies. The culture is more startup than traditional government contractor – we move fast, solve problems in design spikes rather than scheduled reviews, and care more about outcomes than process. That said, we’re building for users who need reliability and trust, so craft and attention to detail matter.

You’ll work closely with our product manager, engineering lead, and design team. You’ll help manage backlogs across both engineering and design, keeping work prioritized and connected to the roadmap. Our delivery model is still evolving – you’ll have real influence over how it matures as we learn what works.

LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed.

Leveraging our mission-ready technology and solutions, proven expertise in federal deployment, and strategic relationships, we enhance outcomes for the government, efficiently and effectively. With a focus on agility and collaboration, LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors—helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Own and maintain a centralized command center built on a low-code platform that serves as the team’s single source of truth for board state, work categorization, and roadmap progress

• Enforce hygiene across Jira and supporting tools: ticket labeling, completeness, and workflow consistency

• Generate regular delivery and capacity reports that give leadership visibility into where engineering effort is going and surface areas that need attention

• Track and report on protected engineering time – measuring whether scheduled deep work blocks are being held or eroded, and identifying what’s causing interruptions

• Facilitate the weekly team sync: prepare the agenda (scorecard metrics, goal progress, issues list), capture action items, and track follow-through week over week

• Coordinate quarterly goal-setting sessions where the team commits to 3–5 measurable outcomes tied to the product roadmap

• Run biweekly retros and ensure action items are tracked as closeable items linked to tickets or quarterly goals

• Coordinate the monthly stakeholder showcase: scheduling, presenter prep, and ensuring dashboards are presentation-ready

• Build and iterate on dashboard views, automations, and integrations as the team’s operational needs evolve

• Help manage backlogs for both engineering and design, keeping priorities current and aligned with the product roadmap

• Maintain data syncs between project management tools and troubleshoot when pipelines break

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in a delivery, scrum master, or engineering operations role on a software product team

• Strong working knowledge of Kanban: WIP limits, flow metrics, continuous delivery cadence, and pull-based work management

• Strong foundation in Scrum, Kanban, or both – you understand the principles well enough to know when to apply them and when to adapt

• Hands-on experience administering Jira at the project level – building and maintaining boards, workflows, filters, labels, and dashboards

• Proficiency with low-code platforms like Coda, Notion, or Airtable – specifically building dashboards, automations, and data views that a team uses daily

• Comfort with capacity-based and flow-based measurement: allocation ratios, flow distribution, and cycle time

• Ability to own data integrity as a discipline: if labels are wrong, metrics are wrong, and you treat that as your problem

• Strong facilitation skills – you can run a tight, focused meeting and people leave knowing what was decided and who owns what

• Comfort operating on a small, fast-moving team where you build your own tools and processes rather than inheriting a mature playbook

What Will Set You Apart

• CSM, PSM, or equivalent certification (useful as a foundation, but we care more about what you’ve built than what you’ve passed)

• Direct experience building with low-code platforms like Coda, Notion, or Airtable – synced tables, automations, and cross-platform integrations

• Background in the Flow Framework or similar value-stream measurement approaches

• Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) concepts – Rocks, L10 meetings, scorecards, and structured problem-solving

• Familiarity with Lean principles applied to engineering capacity planning and work-in-progress management

• Experience supporting AI-native or AI-paired engineering teams
