About this role

Overview

Our Cruiseline.com team is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Digital Sales Consultant (Independent Contractor) to support the growth of our digital advertising business. This role is ideal for experienced sales professionals who are confident in their ability to develop new business, close deals, and manage client relationships in a performance-based environment.

 

In this independent contractor role, you will sell digital advertising and performance marketing solutions across Cruiseline.com and the Shipmate app to cruise lines, travel retailers, and travel-related brands seeking to reach an engaged, high‑intent cruise audience. Your focus will be on monetizing premium advertising placements and performance-driven products, including targeted email marketing campaigns, high-visibility display advertising, and “Check Prices” integrations that tie directly to cruise deal traffic and conversions.

  • Identify, prospect, and close new advertising partnerships within the cruise and travel industries
  • Build, manage and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective advertisers
  • Develop customized advertising solutions aligned with client business objectives
  • Drive revenue through proactive outreach, including email, phone, LinkedIn, and industry networking
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat and expanded business
  • Stay current on cruise industry trends and digital advertising best practices

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in digital advertising sales, media sales or travel industry sales
  • Strong understanding of email marketing, display advertising, and performance-based media models
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own business activities  
  • Comfortable working in a commission-only, performance-driven engagement
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Existing relationships within the cruise or travel industry are a strong plus

Compensation Structure

This position is offered as an independent contractor (1099) engagement. Contractors are not employees of World Travel Holdings, Cruiseline.com or any subsidiary and are not eligible for employee benefits. The contractor is responsible for all applicable taxes, insurance, and business expenses.
