Software Engineer Level 2

Description

Markon is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 to support the Fort Meade Customer in the development and deployment of advanced AI/ML-driven systems within a cloud-based infrastructure. This position focuses on building high-performance, scalable applications and enabling automation through infrastructure as code. The role involves working with modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and large-scale data processing systems to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing and new software systems
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications, including GPU-enabled solutions
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform in AWS environments
• Develop and optimize backend services using C++, Python, and/or Go
• Support and enhance large-scale streaming data analytics platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy robust software solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 14+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with AI/ML development or integration
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS cloud environments
• Proficiency in C++, Python, and/or Go
• Experience developing high-performance and/or GPU-enabled applications
• Experience working with large-scale streaming data analytics systems

    

Salary Range

USD $210,000.00 - USD $225,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
