Description

Markon is seeking a Telecommunications Operations Specialist to support a mission-critical Operations Center environment focused on incident and event management for global communications systems. In this role, you will provide troubleshooting, monitoring, and operational support for satellite, voice, and data communications systems supporting the Sponsor and multiple government agencies.

The ideal candidate will help maintain secure and reliable communications infrastructure that supports 24/7 crisis communications and mission operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide troubleshooting and operational support for satellite voice/data, landline, and secure/non-secure telephone communications systems
  • Support a 24/7 Operations Center environment with emphasis on incident response and event management
  • Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot communications infrastructure, including:
    • Routers and switches
    • Servers
    • Leased-line communications systems
    • Cryptographic equipment
    • UHF communications equipment
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of multiple high-speed data links
  • Identify, isolate, and resolve network and communications faults
  • Develop and maintain network and system monitoring tools supporting global communications infrastructure
  • Use data analytics and data science techniques to improve situational awareness and predictive monitoring of deployed systems
  • Provide VIP communications support for senior government officials when required

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
  • 8+ years of experience supporting a mission operation center within telecommunications

Salary Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
