Software Engineer Level 2

Description

Markon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the development and integration of mission-critical software systems in a Linux-based environment for the Fort Meade Customer. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software solutions using modern programming languages and best engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications in a Linux environment.
• Develop and modify software using Python and C++ to support mission and system requirements.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Integrate software components into larger systems and operational environments.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and mission stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation activities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline plus 14 years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing software in a Linux-based environment.
• Strong programming experience with Python and C++.

Desired

• Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and/or Radio Frequency (RF) systems.

Salary Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
