Responsibilities

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population.Ā  Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Ā 

Work M-F 7a-3:30p and weekday/weekend on call shifts. Work 1 weekend per month

Qualifications

REQUIRED

Ā 

  • An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
    • Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
    • Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support

  • Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
  • Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
