Responsibilities

Interns perform a wide range of duties for many different departments.  Some of these duties include:

  • Writing articles and taking photos for hospital physician, employee and consumer publications
  • Writing and distributing press releases
  • Designing fliers, postcards, invitations, etc. for hospital events and programs
  • Planning and implementing special events (community seminars, races/walks, etc.)
  • Assisting media on campus & coordinating media logistics
  • Working with printers and other vendors
  • Assisting with a variety of projects in Productivity Management, Finance or Administration
  • Assist with projects related to Physician Practices or Hospital Departments
  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED

     

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.

     

    PREFERRED

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  •  

    Marketing

  • Junior or Senior Marketing or Communications majors (or similar/related fields) or recent graduates preferred.
  • Candidates must have good academic performance.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and have strong attention to detail.
  •  

    Graphic Design

  • Graphic Design majors or recent graduates preferred.
  • Candidates must have good academic performance.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and have strong attention to detail.
  •  

    Sponsorship

  • Junior or Senior Marketing or Communications majors (or similar/related fields)or recent graduates preferred.
  • Candidates must have good academic performance.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Ability to work events that are sometimes outside of work hours (e.g., weekends), including at and leading up to the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race, July 4, 2026.
  • Ability to solve problems and have strong attention to detail.

    Productivity Management

  • Junior or Senior Engineering major.
  • Candidates must have good academic performance.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to work with formulas in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •  

    Revenue Integrity

  • Medical and or Coding background (apprentice and or externships accepted or individuals seeking RHIA, RHIT, CPC-A, CPC, CCS, CCS-P, COC)
  • Understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and have strong attention to detail
  •  

    Human Resources

  • Junior or Senior Business Administration major or related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and have strong attention to detail.
  •  

    Finance

  • College Finance, Accounting, Business, Hospital/Health Care or Related major
  • Candidates must have good academic performance.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to work with formulas in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •  

    Accounting

  • College Accounting major
  • Candidates must have good academic performance.
  • Strong analytical, time management, and communication (verbal/written) skills
  • Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  •  

    Bio-Medical Engineering

     

  • Recent graduate or current student of no more than 6 months from A.S, B.S. or M.S Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Imaging Technology or Mechanical Principles degree program or equivalent DOD Military education.
  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or higher based on a 4.0 scale
  • Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy to understand manner
  • Change Agent and process oriented
  •  

    Work Hours:

    9am-5pm
