Responsibilities

The Activity Coordinator coordinates the responsibilities for directing the development, implementation, supervision and ongoing evaluation of the activities program, with the direction of the Department Director. This position coordinates and provides recreational and activity programs for the Subacute Unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; or one year related experience required for new hires, effective April  2014
  • Have two years-experience in a social or recreational program within the past 5 years, one year was fulltime in a healthcare setting, or
  • Be an occupational therapist, art therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, recreation therapist or occupational therapist assistant, or
  • Have satisfactorily completed at least 36 hours of training in a course designated for this position.
  • Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $21.00 to $24.63. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
