Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining a log of all of the journal entries and preparing the majority of the journal entries in the general ledger, analyzing appropriate balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, calculating and reconciling depreciation of all the fixed assets accounts, preparing bank reconciliation on a monthly basis, and preparing annual work papers for year-end audits.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent required.
  • Four to Six (4-6) years hospital/healthcare accounting/finance experience preferred.
  • Proficient in business software applications.
  • Working knowledge of windows based personal computers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Current CPA preferred.

Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $43,888 to $59,342 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
