Desert Valley Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Academic Hospitalist / Medical Director to join our growing team. This unique leadership opportunity combines inpatient clinical care, resident education, and administrative oversight. The ideal candidate will be passionate about academic medicine, committed to quality patient care, and excited to help shape the future of our Internal Medicine Residency Program while providing leadership as Medical Director.

Responsibilities

Academic Hospitalist/ Core FacultyDesert Valley - Victorville, CALocation: Desert Valley, Victorville, CASchedule: Full-Time, Resident Teaching ResponsibilitiesDesert Valley in Victorville, CA, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Hospitalist Physician to join our team as a Core Faculty member. This unique role combines patient care with the rewarding opportunity to educate and mentor the next generation of physicians.Opportunity Highlights:

• Day Shift Hospitalist position with Academic and Leadership responsibilities
• Medical Director role with additional monthly stipend
• Board-Certified in Internal Medicine (required)
• Core Faculty appointment within the Internal Medicine Residency Program
• Responsible for rounding with residents and participating in resident didactics
• Collaborate with hospital leadership on quality improvement, patient safety, and operational initiatives
• Preferably okay doing procedures but not required.
• Open ICU.
• Traditional work schedule with protected administrative time for Medical Director duties Monday to Friday (8AM to 5PM) + 1 weekend a month.

• The position is in Victorville, CA – around 45 minutes away from Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

• Base salary starts at $250-275K.
• Semi-annual production bonus in addition to base salary.
• Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Reimbursement for Full-Time.
• Open to J-1 Visa waiver sponsorship (Primary Care shifts required)

Qualifications

Qualifications:• Board Certified in Internal Medicine• Valid California medical license or ability to obtain one• Strong commitment to resident education and academic excellence• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Desert Valley Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is between $250,000-275,000. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is$275,000-350,000 based on experience.The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
