Responsibilities

Employee and Labor Relations Specialist is responsible for addressing and resolving workplace issues, promoting a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The Employee and Labor Relations Specialist will work closely with management and employees to provide guidance on employee-related matters and contribute to the development and maintenance of a healthy organizational culture. Employee and Labor Relations Specialist must be knowledgeable and experienced professional in the field of labor relations, with an ability to interpret labor law and apply it to various situations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1.    Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources management or related field preferred.

2.    Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as an ER Specialist/Generalist with emphasis on employee/labor relations, preferably in a Healthcare/Hospital setting.

3.    Experience in counseling, conflict resolution and problem-solving.

4.    Knowledge of FLSA, ADA, FMLA/CFRA, COBRA, OSHA, CAL/OSHA and other HR related regulations.

5.    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6.    Training on Violence in the Workplace prevention within 90 days from date of hire.

Centinela Hospital Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $40.96 to $40.96. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
