The Intelligence Analyst, assigned to one of Pinkerton’s largest global clients, is responsible for producing high-quality strategic and tactical analysis on regional developments and trends impacting client security, such as civil unrest, crime, geopolitical conflict, environmental hazards, and terrorism. The role involves deep-dive analysis, extracting pertinent information for stakeholders and senior management, and managing large data sets to deliver clear briefings and written reports. The Analyst operates independently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment, prioritizing multiple tasks while employing critical thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Monitor, detect, analyze, and advise the client on regional adverse conditions, including civil unrest, crime, environmental hazards, and terrorism.
  • Perform thorough quick-turn and deep dive tactical open-source intelligence investigations and monitoring.
  • Produce cohesive, concise, and comprehensive written products and oral briefings that cover a wide variety of topics, business lines, and threat vectors.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data with a strong understanding and application of analytical techniques. This includes conducting open-source strategic geopolitical and tactical investigative research to develop analysis derived from large data sets.
  • Identify gaps in current analysis products and develop new solutions, methodologies, and products, including using AI, to help improve reporting, especially in data-driven analysis.
  • Support business continuity, crisis, and security management teams during incidents and crises.
  • Provide support and assist with crisis management outside typical work hours, as needed
  • Support colleagues if needed, including conducting peer reviews.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher with five years of professional intelligence experience in relevant sector including government and/or law enforcement.

  • Tri-lingual skills; English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
  • Able to produce strategic intelligence reports, threat assessments, and tailored analysis.
  • Effective understanding of principal geopolitical risks and how they affect the private sector.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to carry out responsibilities with little supervision.
  • Able to collect, organize, and analyze complex data with a strong understanding and application of analytical techniques.
  • Able to develop strong relationships within a complex environment and across multiple time zones.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office and basic familiarity with AI tools.
