About this Role

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a GL/TAX Administrator to support the accounting and tax functions through accurate record-keeping, reconciliations, compliance support, and timely processing of financial information. This role helps maintain the integrity of general ledger activity and tax-related documentation while partnering with internal teams to support reporting, filings, and audit readiness. The GL/TAX Administrator plays an important part in maintaining organized, accurate, and compliant financial operations.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and other general ledger support activities.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes by gathering data, preparing schedules, and resolving routine discrepancies.
  • Support tax compliance activities, including sales and use tax, property tax, business registrations, and related filings.
  • Maintain organized tax records, exemption certificates, notices, and supporting documentation.
  • Help compile information for internal and external audits and respond to routine document requests.
  • Review financial data for accuracy and escalate issues or variances as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining accounting procedures, documentation, and internal control processes.
  • Work with internal departments to collect information needed for accounting entries, reporting, and tax support.
  • Track deadlines and help ensure timely completion of recurring accounting and tax tasks.
  • Provide additional administrative and accounting support to the finance team as needed.

What You'll Bring

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting, general ledger, tax support, or related finance experience.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Experience supporting tax filings, reconciliations, and audit documentation preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
  • Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams and meet established deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience working in an ERP or accounting system.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
