The Equipment Oiler plays a key role in supporting daily field operations by preparing machinery at the start of each shift and ensuring construction crews can begin work efficiently. This position is also responsible for performing daily equipment gate checks and assisting field mechanics with routine maintenance, repairs, parts runs, and other assigned tasks. As a developmental role, the Equipment Oiler position offers a clear pathway for individuals to gain hands-on experience and progress toward becoming a skilled mechanic through ongoing training and growth opportunities.  Pay: This is a non-exempt/hourly position. The pay range is $25 - 30 per hour. Pay may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.   Location: This position can be based at our locations in Minot, ND or Omaha, NE.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Top off fluid and check levels including fuel/DEF
  • Start units in morning
  • Gate check units
  • Minor repairs-lights, wipers, tires
  • Check for safe operation
  • Assist local field mechanics in other repairs and run parts
  • Replace filters and perform chassis lube as needed

What You'll Bring

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATOIN REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High school Graduate, Holder of G.E.D.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Show mechanical aptitude and ability
  • Safety focused
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance
  • Ability to work alone or unsupervised at times
  • Minor computer skills for data entry and work tracking.
  • Ability to travel for work

Pre-screen: Upon offer, employees will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and MVR check.
