TUI is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company globally, and it owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail shops.As an Automated Quality Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team dedicated to building seamless software solutions for our customers. With a passion for quality, you will collaborate effectively with your team to deliver exceptional solutions that meet customer needs. You will take full ownership of applications throughout their lifecycle, from design through to operation.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and optimize automated tests across the entire testing pyramid (functional, integration, contract, performance, and load testing)
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD process
- Advocate for high-quality feature specifications in collaboration with Product Owners
- Act as the sole QA Engineer in the team: design meaningful test cases and implement automation for different types of testing
- Demonstrate a quality-first mindset, ensuring the tests are reliable, reusable, and represent a strong understanding of the product flow and quality assurance principles
- Assists with the development of test strategies, creation of appropriate test harnesses and implementation of ongoing metrics
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in testing and good understanding of its concepts
- Experience in JavaScript/Typescript automation
- Hands-on experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and related integrations
- Experience with API testing (Rest API)
- Experience with Playwright (Test Runner, API Testing, Request Interception, PageObject pattern)
- Practical experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Proficiency in end-to-end application testing
- Familiarity with GitLab CI and related automation tools
- Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English
