About this role

Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider making data faster and safer, is seeking to hire an exceptional SMTS Foundry Technology to join our Operations Engineering team in Taiwan. In this role, you will be working with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world developing products that make data faster and safer.

 

As a SMTS Foundry Technology, you’ll act as the primary technical interface between internal engineering teams and external foundry partners, ensuring successful technology qualification, tapeout execution, yield ramp, and high-volume production readiness. In this full time role, you’ll report to our Director Foundry Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Drive yield improvement initiatives with foundries through data analysis (WAT, test data) and root cause investigation
  • Collaborate with foundry to implement process improvements and CIP actions
  • Execute tapeouts to foundries, including GDS release, MT form preparation, and engineering lot planning
  • Support technology evaluation for new nodes and/or new foundries
  • Work with supply chain team on wafer WIP management.
  • Support design teams with PDK usage, design rules (DRC/LVS), and process guidelines interpretation.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in semiconductor process technology (e.g., BCD, FinFet)
  • Hands-on experience with yield analysis, and foundry interaction
  • Experience with TSMC technology and systems
  • Familiarity with PDK, DRC/LVS, and IC design flow is a plus
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
