Software Developer[Back End (Node Js+ Express)]

Job Purpose

RWS are looking to hire an experienced and talented Developer. You will work as part of a distributed agile team leading the development of one of RWS’s internal systems, which is integral to the operation of one of RWS divisions. As a system that is constantly evolving you will be a key member of its functional enhancement and its technical evolution.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and Expressjs.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs with strong security and performance.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases for efficient data modeling and query optimization.
• Implement asynchronous processing, caching, and background jobs.
• Ensure code quality through unit/integration testing and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and other stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker).

Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2).
• Familiarity with Redis, message queues, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks (Jest/Mocha).
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
