We are searching for a talented Cook

 

Hours: 24hrs  

Shift: Day/Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation; Hours vary

Location: Tobey Hospital – Wareham, MA

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Manager, Food Service Operations or Designee, perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: prepare and cook a variety of food, monitor food produced for quality, temperature and flavor; identify any issues via tasting, portioning and visual appearance and make corrections as needed; accurately extend recipes to ensure proper yields and maintain meal costs; practice and enforce sanitation policies, etc. Keep production and temperature records up to date and report any problems to the Manager on duty. Ensure all refrigerators and freezers are clean and organized.

Qualifications

  • Equal to completion of four years of high school or the equivalent required.
  • Judgment and planning skills required for food preparation.
  • A minimum of two years experience in institutional food services, including experience with institutional food service equipment required.
  • Must be able to pass Southcoasts written culinary exam.
  • Serv Safe Certification Required within 60 days of hire
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired. 

     

  • Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. 

Pay Range

USD $17.28 - USD $26.99 /Hr.
